Victory's slick new Octane

The long-awaited Octane is here.

Victory states that the Octane is like an American muscle car, in that it's light, fast, and affordable. This middle-weight Victory cruiser has a low seat height at 26.9 inches, and and the forward pegs give it a classic riding position. But the 104hp, the fairly short gearing, and the six-speed tranny give it performance closer to a Harley V-Rod than a 1200 Sportster.

Some specs: around 540lbs dry weight, 1179cc, 104hp, front tire 130/70-18, rear tire 160/70-17, 29 degrees/5.1" rake and trail, 5.1" fork travel, 3.0 twin rear shock travel, 6-speed transmission, 3.4gal tank.

Magazine test riders loved the Octane, calling the engine "sweet", pulling strongly thru the gears and hitting 100mph quickly.

Victory Demo Day!

Mark your calendars, make an Evernote, tie a string around your finger, take the day off work, but be sure not to miss Wednesday April 30th - Victory Demo Day at Tracy Motorsports. Every current Victory model will be available for you to ride so you can compare model to model and determine the one that suits you best.

Make sure you're on TMS's email list so that you get all the info and show up here ready to ride. You'll need a valid driver's license with a motorcycle endorsement, a helmet with face shield or glasses, long pants, sturdy shoes or boots, and we strongly recommend gloves and a jacket.


We don't have all the details yet but there's usually an incentive to buy, such as $500-$1000 off the bike of your choice if purchased within a certain number of days.

weekend wrap-up

A carload of Brazilian MX racers stopped in this week for some shopping on their way to the track. Good luck, guys!

We put up a display for the Can-Am Commanders and Mavericks. Don't have a Maverick yet but it should be here soon. These are high-end side-by-sides with a ton of power. 

The new 2013 Victory Cross Country in Midnight Metallic Flames came in the other day and is now on the showroom floor. Even if you're not real into the whole flames thing, it's a good looking bike. 


I took a picture from the balcony before all the bikes got pushed out in the morning. Most people don't think about the fact that all those bikes on the front porch get pushed in and out of the showroom at the beginning and end of each day.
